Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan

Purpose of the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan
The Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (Learning Continuity Plan) provides information for how student learning continuity will be addressed during the COVID-19 crisis in the 2020–21 school year, as well as how those actions will be funded. The provisions for the plan were approved by the Governor and Legislature in June in SB 98 and can be found in EC Section 43509.
The LCP was presented to the Board at the Monday, August 31. A final version was presented and reviewed at the September 21 meeting.

LCAP

What is the LCAP?
The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) provides new ways for parents, students, and staff to engage in the school's decision making process.   Charter schools and districts are required to involve parents, educators, employees, and the community as they create these plans and outline the school or district's goals.

The California Department of Education requires that the school's LCAP plan address each of the eight areas identified as state priorities.   In addition, the LCAP outlines how the school's budget will help the school achieve its goals, as well as how the school will monitor its progress towards reaching their goals.

Would you like more information?
The requirement of completing an LCAP plan is new to all charter schools and districts across the state of California.  Please use the links below as resources to learn more about these new requirements.
