COVID-19 Update

March 10, 2021

Dear Vista Oaks Community,

It is hard to believe, but this month marks one year since we began these COVID-19 updates. We are continually grateful for our amazing Vista Oaks community. The last year has brought many challenges, but our community has grown in ways we didn’t know we could.  As the world around us slowly begins to reopen, we are increasingly hopeful for the days ahead.

Increasing Onsite Activities - We have been increasing onsite opportunities for our students. It has been wonderful to see more students on campus. Your Advisor will continue to communicate with you as more opportunities are available.

Progress Reports - Advisors will email out progress reports to students receiving a C or lower in a course by Thursday, March 11. If you have any questions please ask your Advisor.  Also, continue to check the Parent Portal to monitor your student’s grades throughout the semester.

CAASPP Update  - This April students across the state in grades 3 - 8 and 11 will participate in the English and Math state assessment. The state assessments will be offered either remotely or in-person. Your Advisor will communicate with you regarding any updates and scheduling. Vista Oaks staff have been working hard to prepare for testing to ensure your student will have a positive experience. We are excited about this opportunity for our students to shine.

Spring Break - Next week is Spring Break and both campuses will be closed March 15 -19. We hope that your family is able to rest, relax and enjoy the time together.

Again, thank you for your perseverance and commitment to your child’s learning.  We hope you and your family enjoy the break!

Thank you,

Joy Groen

Executive Director
